To create an email template that contains all possible the elements needed to recreate the existing emails that The Student Room sends and also to be able to create new emails.

The new template would be used to build highly visual email campaigns and required the flexibility for the team to be able create new emails from scratch using the widgets built.

 

Working with the Marketing Manager and CRM manager we reviewed the existing email templates reviewing each element and it's requirements which enabled me to sketch out what would be needed in the new template and each of it's possible variations required.

Using the sketches I created a template that followed a grid structure and contained all the variations needed. I also included a style guide within this template.

Once the design was complete I worked with the external email developer to provide guidance on how to these elements would function and how they should be styled.
